There are currently four debuggers that have special support for Thread Manager debugging.
The first two are the Power Mac Debugger 2.0 and 68K Mac Debugger 2.0. Both of these debuggers support the new Thread Manager 2.1 debugging services and are supported by Apple Computer, Inc.
The third is Voodoo Monkey, an unsupported ‘goodie’ from Apple Computer, Inc.
VOODOO MONKEY IS A “USE AT YOUR OWN RISK” DEBUGGER THAT HAS SEVERAL KNOWN
BUGS—AND APPLE PROVIDES NO TECHNICAL SUPPORT FOR IT. This debugger can be found on several FTP sites and various developer CDs. Due to its current size (the latest version of VoodooMonkey supports both 68K and PPC source level debugging), it is no longer included with the Thread Manager development package.
The fourth debugger is “The Debugger & MacNosy” from Jasik Designs (343 Trenton
Way, Menlo Park, CA 94025; telephone 415/322-1386; AppleLink D1037). This is a
commercial product that is available from APDA and other sources—it is a source
level debugger for programs built with MPW or Symantec’s THINK v. 6.x. We
recommend that you evaluate it if you need the ability to debug threads.
